Chicago, aka the windy city, known for its deep dish pizza, the classic Wrigley Field, and stunning architecture. There are countless opportunities to take amazing photos here. Our list highlights the 7 most instagram worthy photo spots to add to your Chicago itinerary!

1. The Bean!

One of the most obvious places from our list is the famous Chicago Bean. The official name for the bean is Cloud Gate and it is located in Millennium Park. Our recommendation is to visit the bean both at night and during the day, but also be sure to explore the rest of Millennium Park! If you are trying to get a photo without tons of other tourists, wake up early and you may catch a rare moment alone with the bean!

2. John Hancock Signature Lounge

The Willis Tower may be high on your list (literally… get it?), but we encourage you to reconsider and consider visiting the John Hancock Signature Lounge instead. The Willis Tower costs $26 per person and while it does offer the slight scary/exciting experience of walking out on the clear sky deck, we opted for an experience with the same great views that also included alcohol.

Take a trip up to the John Hancock Signature Lounge. Here you can enjoy overpriced drinks ($10 per beer), but with an amazing view!

Travel Tip -> Arrive before sunset to enjoy daytime, golden hour, and nighttime photos of the city! Also don’t leave without checking out the Women’s Restroom (if you can). This restroom is known to have the best view of Chicago!

3. Wrigley Field

Wrigley Field is the second oldest baseball field in the United States, making it a worthwhile photo opp! If the Cubs are in town, get tickets and cheer them on! There is no better way to experience a bit of Chicago culture than a ballgame and a beer.

4. Navy Pier

Warning: the Navy Pier is very touristy, but hey you are on vacation so it is okay to be a little touristy every now and then! Check out the highlight of Navy Pier, the ferris wheel! Tickets are a bit pricey ($15 per person), so even if you don’t go on the ferris wheel you can still get some great Instagram photos of the ferris wheel!

5. North Avenue Beach

Do you want one of those epic Chicago skyline photos? Well, visit North Avenue Beach – you can take your photo and enjoy the beach at the same time! Checking out Lake Michigan and getting Instagrammable photos of Chicago were both top on our to-do list, so North Avenue Beach was a two-fer!

6. Chicago Street Art

Chicago has unique street art located around the city. The Greetings from Chicago Mural is a must see. It also happens to be the perfect photo to include in a scrapbook documenting your trip. Finding this spot is super easy, simply type ‘Greetings From Chicago Mural’ into Google Maps and it will guide you to the right place!

Try to experience all of the Chicago ‘things’ represented in the mural during your trip!

7. Chicago Theater

This list would not be complete without adding in one last great photo spot, the Chicago Theater marquee. This sign is historic and very easy to access as it is in the heart of the Chicago Loop. Selfies here are highly encouraged!
