The Global Credit Crunch is currently affecting homeowners in most European countries, many of which have traditionally provided buyers for holiday homes in Spain. With property prices in...

Spain is absolutely bursting with places to see and things to do. These are my top ten must-see attractions. THE ALHAMBRA PALACE - GRANADA The 'Red Palace' is one of Spain's most important historical monuments and tourist attractions. Having been under both Christian and Moslem control, The Alhambra has benefitted and blossomed as each of its owners has added more buildings. The oldest part of the Alahambra is the Alcazaba, which was built upon the ruins of a 9th century fort. The world famous gardens are unbelievably beautiful. You see, for Britons looking for a holiday destination, stunning Spain is still their number one choice and for the rest of the world Spain is number two on the list of favoured destinations. You see, Spain is a vast land of stunning contrasts...
Holiday Guide to Spain's Costa de la Luz
The Spanish coastline meets the Mediterranean Sea and is not tidal. Right? Well, most of it. There is an area of Spain to the east of Gibraltar that fronts onto the Atlantic Ocean and is very different to the rest of Spain's coast. The wind. But read on. The Costa de la Luz, which translates as the Coast of Light, is one of the finest coastlines in Europe, yet the area in sparsely populated compared to the rest of Spain's coastal strip, and has been ignored by both developers and visitors. This is a shame...

A Brief History Of The Cape Verde Islands
The Cape Verde islands are thought to have been officially first discovered in 1456 by the Portuguese, but there are suggestions that the islands had already been discovered previously to this. However, there is no evidence to back this up, and it is instead based on the probability of such a scenario. When the Portuguese arrived they quickly declared the islands part of their country's territory, a status that they held until relatively recently. Alvise Cadamosto was the one to make the discovery, and records suggest that the islands that he discovered were at that time lush with vegetation, hence the name 'Verde', even though such greenery is not so prevalent today. The Islands The islands were...
